THE MIRROR Harold F. Divelbiss Commercial Course A. A., 1, 2, 3, 4, Red Cross, 1, 3, 4, Hi-Y, 3, 4, Press Club, 3, 45 Sports Editor of Hi-Lights, 4, Interclass Mushball, 2, 3, Interclass Basket- ball, 1, Interclass Baseball, 3. A day for toil, an hour for sport. That old man hobbling through the halls lately is really not old. It is just our friend, Pete. Pete has been suffering from a leg injury from a recent basketball encounter at Rossiter, and the method he uses to get about reminds one of an enfeebled, old man. No offence Pete, for we wish you a speedy recovery. Pete is very active in Press Club work. By his ability and work, Pete as the Sports Editor of the H11-Lights, has contributed greatly to the success of the Hi-Lights this year. Sports hold a deep fascination for Pete, and hardly a thing happens in the field of sports that Pete cannot tell you about. Therefore, Pete's favorite pastime is following sports in general, baseball and football in particular. Pete is uncertain as to what he will be doing next year, but we wish him success. Catherine Ellen Dock Commercial Course Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4, A. A., 1, 2, 3, 4, Tri-Hi-Y, 2, 3, 4, Vice President of Tri-Hi-Y, 35 Science Club, 2, Commercial Club, 4g Cheerleader, 3, 4, Head Cheerleader, 45 Glee Club, 2, 3, 4, Press Club, 2, 3, 4, Hi-Light Columnist, 3, 4, Bunty Pulls the Strings, 1g Sunbonnet Sue, 2, f'The Ring and the Look, 4, Commencement Chorus, 2, 3, Baccalaureate Chorus, 2, 3, Thespian Society, 4, L'Hulda of Hol- landf' 3, Society Editor of H11-Lights, 4, Vice President of Glee Club, 43 Treasurer of Junior Class, 3, Soloist with School Orches- tra, 4, H, M. S. Pinafore, 4. Cute and sweet -makes life a treat. Kae'l is that lively little bundle of attractive personality who finds it really difficult to properly divide her time among the extra curricular activities in P. H. S. ner contagious smile has won her the admiration of every one, and seldom is she seen without the gangf' Kate is always in demand by some one, especially a certain foot- ball lineman from 4, who takes up the majority of her spare time. t'Kae is best known as the head cheerleader. Kae hopes to become somebody's stenogf' Lucky somebody. Good luck and best wishes, Kae. Twenty- f our 1 Helen Ruth Dunmire General Course Red Cross, 3, 4, A. A., 3, 4, Girls' Glee Club, 4, Double Quartette for Forensic League, 4, t'Please Do Not Pick the Flowers, 4. A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance. Helen is that happy young lass who may be seen frequently ambling around the streets or in the school halls with Jimmy and Jane. One look at her would give the impression that she is a carefree, lighthearted person, who has absolutely nothing in mind but to laugh and have a good time. However, we know that behind that cherry countenance lies a vein of seriousness, which is sometimes given a chance to show itself. Helen is fond of sports, dancing, parties, and a general good time. Never does she miss a game, or pass up a chance to be in on some fun. Although, as yet, Helen is entirely undecided as to where the course of her future life may lead, we are sure that she will always be blessed with congenial companions.

THE MIRRGR john De Fazio General Course Red Cross, Z, 3, 43 A. A., 3, 43 Wrestling Manager, 4, Track Maiiager, 4. Able and always willing. It just seems that every school has some fellows that do all the really tough work. Yes, I mean that Iohnny', is one of those-the ideal manager. His work is never done. Coupled with the fact that 'tJohnny stands high on the Honor Roll and that he has done splendid work as a manager, we have come to the conclusion that he is a pretty swell guy. VVhen he is around the other boys in front of the school, Ujohnny' has very little to say, unless it is about equipment. The future is sure to hold a bright place for this hard worker and this quiet likable boy. Good luck, Johnny Roland De Luca Scientific Course ' VVrestling, 15 A. A., 3, 4, Ir. Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4. There could be no great ones were there no little ones. Ronald is one of the smaller members of our class, but his size has nothing to do with his capability. For when he really wants to get down to work, he can, and can. produce a good recitation. Piccolo is one of those lads' who is responsible for the delivery of the daily paper. He can be seen any evening after school walking down the street, 'twhistling while he Works. Pickie'sl' favorite pastime is discussing anything from football to politics with t'Bennett' and Biggie. However, his abilities are not confined to conversation alone, for he can hold his own in any game he plays. He is also an angler of no mean repute. Pickie's future Alma Mater, he says, is going to be the University of Alabama. We wish him the best of luck in his studies there and in anything else he plans to do. Ronald Dennison General Course Red Cross, 1, 2, 33 A. A., 3, 4. For solitude sometimes is best society. So thinks Ronald, whom we see all by himself the majority of the time. He seems very shy and reserved and talks very little around school. Rolf, was one of the regular attendants at the basketball. and football games, although his voice was never heard above the rest of us. He likes outdoor activities better than indoor ones. In appearance Dennie is rather tall, with gray eyes and neat dark hair. ' Ronald doesn't expect to go on to school. Next year will probably find him driving a bread truck around town. Best wishes, Ronald. Twenty-tlzree

THE MIRROR Norman Ecklund Scientific Course Football, 1, 2, 3, 4, Basketball, 1, 2, 3, 4, Track, 1, 3, 4, Interclass Softball, 3, 4, Interclass Baseball, 3, President of Sophomore Class, 2, Hi-Y, 2, 3, 4, Vice President of Hi-Y, 3, Jr. Red Cross, 1, Z, 3, 4, A. A., 1, 2, 3, 4, Gym Team, 3, Varsity Club, 3, 4, President of Varsity Club, 4, Tennis, 2, Interclass Track, 1, 3, 4, Press Club, 3, 4. ' H is limbs were cast in 'manly mould For hardy tasks or contests bold. 1 To the casual observer Slick appears as a quiet, neat, and hand- some fellow whose athletic posture and broad shoulders label him deli- uitely as an athlete-but what an athlete, a three letter man in his Freshman year. The furious and faultless coordination packed into his stature is nothing short of amazing. Slick is acclaimed by all as Mr. Harrick put into words, The best halfback I ever coached, and coming from the coach, it speaks volumes. To add to all this Slick is always high in scholastic stand- ing, and as an all-'round swell fellow he has no peer. It seems quite certain that a major university will possess him in the future. Good luck, 'tSlickerf' David Edwards General Course A. A., 2, 3, 4, Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4, Football Manager, 1, 2, Wrestling lvlanager, Z, Camera Club, 2, 3, 4, President of Camera Club, 3. Yet had his aspect nothing of severe But such a face as jsronzised his sincere. David is -inclined to take everything as it comes and bothers little about anything. Yet, in his slow way, he seems to accomplish a great deal. David spends most of his time in company with a fellow classmate, at these times he seems very much on the alert. , David is quite interestered in amateur photography and a very active member of the Camera Club. Davidls plans for the future are undecided, but we wish you good luck, David! . Marietta K. Elkin General Course A. A., 1, 2, 3, 4, Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4. Do not worry for the future, The present is all thou hast. Marietta is the tall, blond girl from! Room 4, who is always laugh- ing. She is usually seen in the company of Rae at noon and after school. Her giggle has become an ever-present feature of her homeroom.. Out of school Marietta enjoys swimming and mushball in which she is quite proficient. She has one other interest, but it wouldn't be fair to disclose his identity. ' ' Marietta's future occupation is rather vague, but we all wish her the best of luck in whatever she does. Twenty-five
