THE MIRRGR --e , Norman james Curry General Course Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 45 A. A., 2, 3, 4, Football, 3, 4, VVrestling, 4. Laugh and the world laughs with you. Curry is one of the most irresistable males in the class of '38. His ready smile, blond hair, and blue eyes class him among the hand- some. Curry is an all around Hman with no little ability in football, wrestling, and swimming. Curry also possesses personality in the nth degree. He is the type of person in whom you wish to confide your deepest secrets. Curry is a constant companion of Mirth. He appreciates a good joke, even when it is on himself. Besides being attractive, he is always neatness personified. Curry is not the worrying kind. If he sees trouble coming his way, he laughs and trouble flies over his head. t'Curry informs us that his plans for the future are undecided. i We wish you good luck from the bottom of our hearts Curry Vivian Curry General Course A. A., 2, 3, 4g Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 43 Girls' Glee Club, 3, 4, Tri-Hi-Y, 45 Hulda of Holland, 35 Science Club, 25 Baccalaureate Service, 35 Commencement Program, 33 Commercial Club, 3, 4. And a form of airy grace. If you hear a girl talking to someone about dancing, that's prob- ably Curry. For Curry's greatest delight is found in this ecstacy. Vivian seems to be a care-free person. She is a girl who does not believe in worryg as a matter of fact, she thinks singing and laughing will banish all traits of sorrow and care. Vivian will never be lacking in friends, for her pleasing counten- ance is sure to win many. She has numerous friends and is very seldom by herself, if at all. ' Whatever path you may select for the next year, Vivian, our thoughts will follow you. Grace Davis Commercial Course Freshman Tri-Hi-Yg Commercial Club, 3, 4 g Mirror Board, 3, 45 A. A., 2, 3, 4, Jr. Red Cross, 2, 3, 4. p Stubborn labor conquers eilerytliingf' In an unassuming way, Grace has rmade many friends. She is friendly and cooperative with everyone, sometimes to a fault. Gracie, with her contagious smile, can be seen almost every day, carrying an armful of books or papers on her way to the typing room or Room 4. Davis is ambitious and industrious in achieving her aims. Her willingness to work should take her far. As yet Grace has no definite plans for the future. Good luck, Davis! Twenty-two

THE MIRROR jewett Crites Scientific and Liberal Arts Courses A. A., 1, 2, 3, 4, Health Club, 3, Interclass Softball, 2, 3, 4, Forensic League Declamation, 3, French Club, 3, Mirror Board, 2, 3, 4, Latin Club, 3, 4, Treasurer of Latin Club, 4, Science Club, 3, 4, Thespian Society, 2, 3, 4, Bunty Pulls the Strings, 1, Rollo's Wild Oat, 2, Director of A Unicorn and a Fish, 3, Green Stockings, 4, VVhy the Chimes Rang, 4, Gods of the MOUI1' tains, 4, Assistant Football Manager, 1, Jr. Flight Squadron, 2. Ready, willing, and able. It seems to be a good old P. H. S. custom to call on Jerry when something needs to be done. In view of his accumulation of activities and many abilities, Let Jerry do it, might be a fitting sign to hang over the door of 4. Jerry's scholastic standing has always been high above average, and his ability to learn and recite the most difficult subjects with ease is an object of admiration for his many friends. Jerry has been named The VValking Encyclopediaf' and not without reason. Acting is also one of Ierry's many accomplishments, from his Freshman year to '38 he' has trod a mean step on both stages. A prep school and then a university are Jerry's plans. A Anna Mae Crivella General Course A. A., 2, 3, 4, Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4. Honest labors bears a lovely face. Annie is that cute little blond Senior from Room 4 who is al- ways dressed immaculately. 'fAnnie is a weesome thing, but one can never overlook her, for she is so very neatly dressed, and her hair is never out of place. We would like to know her secret of keeping her hair so beautiful. Take it from one who knows, Annie is the very essence of good cheer. She never seems to be in a depressed mood. Like everyone else, she probably has such moments, but she doesn't believe in pessimists and always greets her friends with a cheerful smile. This and her laughter has won Annie many friends. After a joke has been told, and you hear some one bursting with laughter, not giggling, you may be sure it is Annie, Parties and a good time in general are welcomed by Annie, . Next year will find Anna Mae following the path of beauty culture. We can easily picture Annie in her shop, making others as lovely as she. Ray Croasman Scientific Course A. A., 3, 4, jr. Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4, Science Club, 4. A courteous, well-mannered man. Ray is a cheerful sort of chap. As he walks through the halls, good will seems to radiate from him. He makes you feel sort of glad that you are alive. But Red doesn't spend all of his time cheering up the world, he has his studies to get. He gets them, too. When some tricky question stops the rest of the students, Ray's hand can be seen, extended far into the atmosphere. Next year Ray expects to enter a state game school and learn a little conservation. No doubt this will be a change for him. This year Ray cam.e to school with such tales of hunting prowess that his many admirers thought his middle name must be Dick Dead Eye. lvlost of us would like it better if Ray were to fail a year so that he would be with us longer, but since there is no chance of that, we wish him luck, wherever he goes. Nlake the most of it, Ray! l Twenty-one

THE MIRRGR john De Fazio General Course Red Cross, Z, 3, 43 A. A., 3, 43 Wrestling Manager, 4, Track Maiiager, 4. Able and always willing. It just seems that every school has some fellows that do all the really tough work. Yes, I mean that Iohnny', is one of those-the ideal manager. His work is never done. Coupled with the fact that 'tJohnny stands high on the Honor Roll and that he has done splendid work as a manager, we have come to the conclusion that he is a pretty swell guy. VVhen he is around the other boys in front of the school, Ujohnny' has very little to say, unless it is about equipment. The future is sure to hold a bright place for this hard worker and this quiet likable boy. Good luck, Johnny Roland De Luca Scientific Course ' VVrestling, 15 A. A., 3, 4, Ir. Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4. There could be no great ones were there no little ones. Ronald is one of the smaller members of our class, but his size has nothing to do with his capability. For when he really wants to get down to work, he can, and can. produce a good recitation. Piccolo is one of those lads' who is responsible for the delivery of the daily paper. He can be seen any evening after school walking down the street, 'twhistling while he Works. Pickie'sl' favorite pastime is discussing anything from football to politics with t'Bennett' and Biggie. However, his abilities are not confined to conversation alone, for he can hold his own in any game he plays. He is also an angler of no mean repute. Pickie's future Alma Mater, he says, is going to be the University of Alabama. We wish him the best of luck in his studies there and in anything else he plans to do. Ronald Dennison General Course Red Cross, 1, 2, 33 A. A., 3, 4. For solitude sometimes is best society. So thinks Ronald, whom we see all by himself the majority of the time. He seems very shy and reserved and talks very little around school. Rolf, was one of the regular attendants at the basketball. and football games, although his voice was never heard above the rest of us. He likes outdoor activities better than indoor ones. In appearance Dennie is rather tall, with gray eyes and neat dark hair. ' Ronald doesn't expect to go on to school. Next year will probably find him driving a bread truck around town. Best wishes, Ronald. Twenty-tlzree
