Ready, willing, and able. It seems to be a good old P. H. S. custom to call on Jerry when something needs to be done. In view of his accumulation of activities and many abilities, Let Jerry do it, might be a fitting sign to hang over the door of 4. Jerry's scholastic standing has always been high above average, and his ability to learn and recite the most difficult subjects with ease is an object of admiration for his many friends. Jerry has been named The VValking Encyclopediaf' and not without reason. Acting is also one of Ierry's many accomplishments, from his Freshman year to '38 he' has trod a mean step on both stages. A prep school and then a university are Jerry's plans. A Anna Mae Crivella General Course A. A., 2, 3, 4, Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4. Honest labors bears a lovely face. Annie is that cute little blond Senior from Room 4 who is al- ways dressed immaculately. 'fAnnie is a weesome thing, but one can never overlook her, for she is so very neatly dressed, and her hair is never out of place. We would like to know her secret of keeping her hair so beautiful. Take it from one who knows, Annie is the very essence of good cheer. She never seems to be in a depressed mood. Like everyone else, she probably has such moments, but she doesn't believe in pessimists and always greets her friends with a cheerful smile. This and her laughter has won Annie many friends. After a joke has been told, and you hear some one bursting with laughter, not giggling, you may be sure it is Annie, Parties and a good time in general are welcomed by Annie, . Next year will find Anna Mae following the path of beauty culture. We can easily picture Annie in her shop, making others as lovely as she. Ray Croasman Scientific Course A. A., 3, 4, jr. Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 4, Science Club, 4. A courteous, well-mannered man. Ray is a cheerful sort of chap. As he walks through the halls, good will seems to radiate from him. He makes you feel sort of glad that you are alive. But Red doesn't spend all of his time cheering up the world, he has his studies to get. He gets them, too. When some tricky question stops the rest of the students, Ray's hand can be seen, extended far into the atmosphere. Next year Ray expects to enter a state game school and learn a little conservation. No doubt this will be a change for him. This year Ray cam.e to school with such tales of hunting prowess that his many admirers thought his middle name must be Dick Dead Eye. lvlost of us would like it better if Ray were to fail a year so that he would be with us longer, but since there is no chance of that, we wish him luck, wherever he goes. Nlake the most of it, Ray! l Twenty-one

1 l THE MIRROR Eugene Corrine Commercial Course Football, 2, 3, 45 Wrestling, 2, 3, 45 A. A., 3, 45 Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 45 Varsity Club, 4. A rough and ready man, For rough and rugged games. Room 3 has, in Eugene, one of the school's most rugged individuals. Gene is not a brute in size, but the three years he has spent in foot- ball and wrestling have earned him much respect. Transpose if you can, this rough and rugged fellow from the mat and the gridiron into secretarial surroundings, and you see him at his best. Yes, Corrine is a commercial student of extraordinary ability. WVhen he can no longer represent the Red and White in athletic contests, we will find him in some office, training on a typewriter or working out an adding machine. Whatever his position in the fu- ture may be, we will follow his trail to success. Edward Craft Commercial Course A. A., 2, 3, 45 Jr. Red Cross, 1, 2, 3, 45 Wrestling, 45 Commercial Club, 3, 45 Stage Crew, 3, 4. It is a world to see. Eddie is a valuable member of the stage crew. After school Edl' can often be seen carting some stage equipment about the building or assisting in some other job. Ed holds an important task in the chapel exercises, that of handling the lantern slides for the songs in chapel. Don't, however, get the impression that Eddie is only a business man, for he also likes to be jolly. He can often be heard laughing heartily at some joke that he and Curry have just pulled. As to his future, Ed says he would like to attend some college, preferably Indiana State Teachers College. Good luck, Ed l Twenty Martha jane Crawford General Course A. A., 1, 2, 3, 45 Girls' Glee Club, 1, 2, 3, 45 Sunbonnet Girl, 25 Hulda of Holland, 35 Red Cross, 45 Commercial Club, 4. Life is a song. This seems to be J'aney's motto. Often one can hear her laughter before one sees her. She is one of the most cheerful and friendly girls in her class. Jane's brown curls are the envy of many girls in P. H. S., for it is such a lovely color and is always so neat. Out of school, Ianey seems to have a wonderful time and finds time besides to work on Saturdays and holidays. Her future activities are rather vague, but we all wish her health, wealth, and happiness.

Curry is one of the most irresistable males in the class of '38. His ready smile, blond hair, and blue eyes class him among the hand- some. Curry is an all around Hman with no little ability in football, wrestling, and swimming. Curry also possesses personality in the nth degree. He is the type of person in whom you wish to confide your deepest secrets. Curry is a constant companion of Mirth. He appreciates a good joke, even when it is on himself. Besides being attractive, he is always neatness personified. Curry is not the worrying kind.
