TH E M l IQ li O R Sylvia Baun C leneral tilourse ill. Rad KIOSS, 3, 4. Quiet, .Vflllll-01l.Y, 111:11 f.. I-l'lIlI!j'.,, 'l'hese three words seem to describe Sylvia better than any full- length paragraph. Wlhile she is in sehool. she spends most of her time studyingg therefore, she never disturbs the teachers with any annoying conversations with her neighbors. She seldom volunteers to reeiteg but, when called upon, she shows that she has studied. lt has never been heard that Sylvia borrowed her assignments, but she might have been a lender because she always has her work done. Her laughter can be heard pealing forth from Room K any noon hour when she is in the midst of a conversation with her friends. We do not know what Sylvia's plans for the future are, but we know she will always be the same quiet, studious, friendly girl she was when :the -2 U K graduated in 1936. Xllten lilaine was a freshman, we recall how extremely bashful he was in the presence of the opposite sex, but we think that the blushes are slowly disappearing. lllaine's knowledge of shorthand and bookkeeping will aid him in any future work he may undertake. He possesses a voice which any business executive might be proud to own. Short monosyllables which convey the maximum amount of meaning within the shortest possible time make his linglish topics particularly distinguished. lYhat George does in his spare time, we are sorry to say we do not know and our inquiring efforts along these lines have been in Vain.
