In its full glory it was topping the ridge of a lpurple hill. The rays darted out in my-- riad Colors-all interspersed with tiny, lieeey, white Clouds. So are the Seniors now, poised on the threshold of the future. VVith our lives Colored by past experiences, by past thoughts, we c-an first look over our shoul- ders at our former lives and then into the unknown void of the future. Just as the sun rises to its zenith, and then slowly drops down out of sight behind some far- off rising ground, so we Seniors are all ready to begin our course of lite in the fu- ture. THE MIRROR meet one another on the same Common ground as we have done day after day. Also when we think that most of our time has been spent in school, ,we realize that we shall get 'tsehool-sick just as one gets 'I home-sick. l But with all these sad thoughts of lost hapfpineisfs we are glad that we ean go away from our school without these words lurk- ing in our minds+HOf all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, lt might have been. Even if we have been lax in the earlier years and have sought fun in- stead of knowledge, we ean graduate with the realization that in this last year we have tried our best and have sueeeeded in reach- ing the goal set for us. VVe ean be as glad as the dancing sun-beams, that we have made our work lighter and have digested our edueation with a seasoning of happi- ness. WVC are made ready with knowledge to leap to the ascent, just as the sun with goads seems to leap into his golden chariot and to spur on his fiery horses toward his goal at the top of the world. O. B. ,SO CLASS SONG Treasurecl Memories By Paul Mohney llappy school days now are ended, Problems solved and labors done. Joys and cares will soon be blended, l.ife,s realities begun. May the future breathing' o,er us, wake the past and like a spell, Bring these joyous scenes before us Of our school days loved so well. Should our fairest vision perish, 'Burst like bubbles, seen no more, Your kind precepts e'er Weill cherish, Treasured up in memory's store. Oh, the joy 'tvvould give to greet you, Friends and loved ones tried and true. NVhat a welcome would await you! And tell them a last adieu. Chorus : Now we separate but never Shall these memories leave the heart. Honored guardians, faithful teachers Grateful thanks before we part. Music by l.orraine Hockinson Eight
