According to her own statement she is always so busy that she does not know what to do first, but at times she is not too busy to have a little fun. The truth is, Helen is very fond of fun, but, would you want anyone to be otherwise? Helen is very particular in all she does. Helen never lets a little thing worry her, for she thinks that worry will do no good. She has won her place among her class-mates who wish her success in whatever path she may choose. ALICE EVELYN LAVERTY Stair Class Secretary, '16 Classical Course g Salutatorian Associate Editor of 1XIirror, '19 Central Committee for Yictory Loan, '19 Too young to love? .-111 no! A11 no! Although she is saluta- torian she does not act as if responsibility were oppressing her. But that is Alice's carefree way. But just let me whisper to you. This won- Llerful young prodigy is really an ink-omaniac. Aside from this small iault, you will find her a delightful person to have near you. But when she gets started to 'laugh, look outl Always ready to recite, always ready to help, to laugh, to flir-, excuse me, to attract, that's Alice. We know she will be a shining Star in whatever profession she pursues. VVe could well say that Dorothy is the most modest, quiet, and un- issuming girl in our class. That statement would not necessarily imply, however, that she is not a good and cheerful worker. Dot can and does work, but she always has time for cheerfulness. As a hostess, We could suggest no better, for, was it not with reluctance that we left her home which had been the scene of a happy party of boys and girls? 1 Dot will take a four year course in Domestic Science at State College, after which she may teach that subject. It takes no prophet to tell that taking Domestic Science under her supervision would be a pleasure.

No, you did not, for every time you see her she is doing something worth while. Sometimes she will be in despair, but that state soon disappears, and the sun will be shining again for her. Parties seem to be in her line, for the first thing you know, you will hear Clara announce a party to which all must be sure and come. Clara also is fond of a certain college, but we do not blame her for that. Good-natured and kind to all she has found a place in the hearts of her classmates. Clara expects to start on a business career soon, and we know that success will be hers. LLOYD P. JORDAN ,lurde Scientific Course Basket Ball, '16, '17, '18, '19 Captain and llanager of Basketball' Team, '18, '19 High School Play, '18 Assistant Circulation Manager of 3Iirror, '17 Vice President of Athletic Association, '19 'H-1 hardy ,frauzeg a harzlier spirit, Here, friends. See the strong, determined look in his face. It tells of trophies won, of basketball games won, of friends won. Jurde is one of the merriest fellows in the class, Cand that's say- ing somethingb. Did you ever hear him tell a tragedy, which he makes up as he goes along? Wiell, if you didn't you missed something. These jolly traits, added to his good school spirit, and his extraordinary athletic work, make us feel glad that we won't be in P. H. S. when Lloyd is gone. Jurde is going to college next year-where, he does not know as yet, but we know that that college will win, not only the championship in basketball but an all-around fellow who can't be beat. THOMASROLANDJORDAN Tom English Course High School Play, '19 lfember A. A. Give us the lcul wlzosc happy life Is one perpetzml grin. VVhen we remember what a small Freshman Tom was, we look with surprise and respect at the young man who is Thomas Jordan, Senior. VVe are glad that Tom has not changed except in physical statute. Tom's desire to question everything has pleased us many times. Tom simply wouldn't be himself if he didn't ask questions. Then too. Tom is a bit of a cynic. XYhen he hears of the extravagance and follies of mortals in this day and age, he is wont to express his disgust at such conduct. in one expression, Hully Gee! XYe would have you know Tom is an ex- ceptional youth, inasmuch as we have never heard of his being worried over or seen him with any member of the fair sex. Tom is uncertain as to what he will do after graduation. XYQ hope he will make a choice that will bring him the best in life. 'N as 1 as

THE MIRROR MILTON McCALL Milt Classical Course Senior Debate, '19 H. S. Orchestra, '16, '17, '18 Manager Track Team, '18, '19 His life was not his own Nor litwl for self alone. Sure a little bit of heaven fell from out the sky one day, and dropped right down in Smethport but there it didn't stay for, when Milt was just a little boy, lN1cCalls moved to Punxs'y. VVe are glad they did for what would the B. B. team have done without Milt for a guard and what would P. H. S. have done without his Irish wit? No matter how dark the future may look, Milt always has a smile and a cheery word to en- courage his comrades along the road to success. Did you say that basket ball was the only thing that attracted him? VVell, how about a combination of red curls and brown eyes? Ask Milt. lXIilt intends to go to college to study law. VVe know he will be a success. LARUE MILLER Rue English Course Pianist for Glee Club, '16, '17, '18 Glee Club, '16, '17, '18, '19 Thou art so lithe and lovely. This little piece of humanity has been with us for four years. Not even those who know her can appreciate her ,full worth. She has remarkable abilities. She does excellent work in English and is a fine commercial student. But her most wonderful accomplishment is her musical talent. She played for the Glee Club for three years where she won great approbation from her fellow-students. Larue is quiet but she has many, many friends. She is a good scout and always ready to extend a helping hand. With all these admirable characteristics, we are not afraid to send Larue out into the world for we know she will prove Worthy of the pride we have in her. LELAND MOWREY English Course High School Play, '19 High School Orchestra, '18, '19 High School Pianist, '19 His music, when soft 'voices die, Vzbrates in the memory. For nine months we have marched up the stairs to Chapel, to Le- land's martial music. It is by his music that we will best remember Le- land. VVe feared that he might bury his musical talent under several feet of book-keeping and stenography, but we learned from him that one can employ as much skill in pounding the keys of a type-writer as in playing the keys of a piano. Leland expects to enter the business world after he graduates from P. H. S. and here's every hope and prophecy of Success, spelled with a big S,
