senior class officers As seniors of 1955, we are very proud to be the first class graduating from our new school. We have been very fortunate to have the use of fhe many modern facilities in this wonderful building. Looking back on our high school years, we remember the excitement of being freshmen at last, our new experiences, friendships, and finally the thrill of becoming a senior and the leading class of the school. Yes, our cherished memories, by far, blot out the small difficulties and dis- appointments we have had during the past four years. The activities which have made this year the most outstanding include: stunt day of which we captured first place, senior play, banquet and prom, and being the second class of P. H. S. to make the trip to Washington. For many of us, not until the diploma has been placed in our hand, will we realize that we shall not return to the classrooms of P. H. S. But we hope that our loving spirit may always be remembered and echo through the corridors while the students behind us continue to bring recognition and honor to our school. Our achievements and success of this unforgettable year are due to the leadership and the helping hand of Miss Mayme McCoy, our class sponsor, who is considered the hub of the Senior Class of 551 Also are we indebted to Mrs. Jordan, Mrs. Totten, Miss Simpson, Mr. Voulangas, and Mr. Vic Kreiter. Officers are: President, Janice Horsley; Vice President, Donnie Hawkins; Secretary, Mary Glenn Poarch; and Treasurer, Earl Spicer. fifteen
