Through it a means of student p articipation in school government is provided as well as cooperation and under- standing between the faculty and the students. The council consists of all club presidents and class representatives. The president, Duane Mink, and the vice president, Glenna Ballinger, were elected by the student body, while the secretary, Joan Fanning, and the treasurer, Gaynell Davidson, were elected by the council. Mrs. J. C. Totten was chosen the sponsor, succeeding Mrs. Luther Farris. The projects for the year included: The purchasing of a piano to be used in the gym- nasium; monetary aid for band supplies; and two placques in memory of Mrs. Luther Farris and Mr. Edward Jennings. There is real assurance of the council ' s value to the school ' s total program of education. Among the many activities sponsored by the council were: The March of Dimes; the Vaude- ville Show; the Farmer ' s Ball; and a Clean-Up Campaign. The very fine success of the council was dependent upon the cooperation of students and faculty. eight
