Just as our city repre- sents the point of departure tor a trip down the seaway to any part ot the world, so your graduation from Pulaski marks the beginning ot an adventure and experience on the sea ot lite. Your teachers and counselors will help you chart the course, and atter receiving your diploma, we sincerely hope that you will head tor distant horizons and have many worth- while experiences in lite. Your positions in lite will be many and varied, but with prepa- ration and knowledge you should be able to weather any storm and sail smoothly into the future, Best wishes tor success and happiness in the years to come. Build up your reserve ot knowledge and know how now, so that you will be able to achieve your lite's ambi- tion in the years to come. Clayton R. Queen, Irene Jonokuchi and King, Dick Mankowski On a rainy October 22nd eager Pulaskians packed the gym to have a look at the annual homecoming pep rally. The parade ot skits and tloats filled the student body with school spirit, Senior homeroom 204 presented the winning skit, and the tirst place float was from junior homeroom 8. Spirits were dampened when rain caused postponement ot the game until Saturday afternoon, Saturday brought more rain and more dampened spirits when our Rams lost to North I3-7. The A Cappella Choir sang, and the auditorium resounded with beautiful Christmas music. This year our music department presented A Christmas Gift to Pulaski. The orchestras part of the present was a medley of favorite carols. The girls' glee club sang the poem, Twas the Night Before Christmas, as their contribu- tion. An Australian folk song and a lullaby were part of the choirs offering. Pulaslci's Christmas gift was neatly tied together by Aurelia Nowak and Fred Werdermann, nairators for the program. The gift that was opened by the singing of O Come All Ye Faithful, was closed by O Holy Night. Senior Class Play Neil Hendry . Jim Trent . Buck May . Buddy McCalla Gritt Rimer . Harvey Rix . Varsity The Rams opened the football season at South Stadium against Boys' Tech. After a hot first quarter drive for a touchdown, the team couldn't keep up with Tech and was defeated. Dennis Dyszelski and Dick Mankowski made the Ram touchdowns. Our boys showed their running power against Juneau, but couldnt keep up with the Juneau scoring. Quarterback Dyszelski scored the Ram points in the second period. On a very muddy and wet afternoon, Pulaski took on the championship King team and lost after a fine first half showing. The Generals' speed and power were too much for the Rams. End Bill O'Conr:ell scored our only touchdown on a pass play. Pulaski vvalloped South, displaying a fine running attack with some passing for good measure. Four different players scored, as Pulaski ran up its highest score of the season, 28-l3.
