JANUARY CLASS -1953 ROBERT MIKOLAJEWSKI GERTRUDE SZWEDOWSKI MARJORIE HEINEMANN ROBERT MODRZEJEWSKI President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Bewilderment: Emancipation: Ninth grade was the year the seniors sent us to the fourth floor to classes, told us not to drink from the black bubblers, and sold us elevator passes. It was the year we attended all the noon hour programs and never set foot outside the classrooms without a pass. Participation: As sophomores We began to feel we were part of the school and even knew some of the mighty seniors, We attended all the sports events, dances, and backed our football team to its second City Championship. We were Iuniorsl We felt free from the drudgery of underclassmen. We left our homework go until homeroom period and then rushed to get it done. We worried more about seeing our friends between pe- riods than getting to class on time, and we attended the Prom! Superiority: We were Seniors! We sponsored Holiday Frolic . We were busy with all the Senior activities. And when we heard the strains of Pomp and Circum- stance , we felt a little sad because our carefree days at Pulaski were over, MISS LINDSAY MR. CALABRESA
