FROSH-SOPH FOOTBALL CITY CHAMPIONS 1950 With 160 boys, Coaches Litzow, Pauly, and Calabrese really went to work and put together a scrappy football team which won 5 and tied 1. In the first game of the season with our South Side rivals, Bay View, the defense of the Iunior Ramblers held the Red Cats outside our 40 yard line. In the closing minutes of the game Pulaski recovered a fumble on Bay View's 20 1.3. in 4 M r us? J yard line. The Ramblers huffed and puffed, but didn't make it. Norman Iordan was outstanding on offense, but we could not score, and the game ended in a tie, U-0. In the Tech game the team came back with a vengeance. With the clock ticking away in the last two minutes, Paul Scharmach passed to Ed Wegner in the end zone for a touchdown.
