TOY MAKING CLUB SQUARE DANCING CLUB The Square Dancing Club, under the able direction of Mr. George Winkler. is a club which meets two days ot each week. The beginning group. which is composed of 50 members of all grade levels, meets every Tuesday. The ad- vanced group, those having had one sem- ester's experience, is composed of 32 members. This group meets in the club- room every Monday. There are 4 squares in this club. each square consisting oi four couples. Among the many square dances that this club executes are the Texas Star, the Swanee River, and Lady Around the Lady. In addition to square dancing the members are learning to waltz and polka. Among their many plans the Square Dancing Club is planning to hold a mass square dance in our gymnasium in the near future. The Toy Making Club had its second semester of activity for about 25 boys. The purpose oi the club was to make toys for The I-lome for Dependent Children. Money was raised last Christmas by the sale of articles made of Styro-Foam, a new plastic material. The money made was used to buy lumber and materials to make the toys for the children. Assisting with the Needs of Our Community was the slogan of the club.

GIRLS' PHYSICAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR K. DOEPKE GIRLS' PHYSICAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR L. DOUGHERTY M 1 ATHLETIC DIRECTOR K. ROYAL BASKETBALL COACH W. OLEN ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT While Pulaski enjoys eminence in city competition and has won several championships, it is proud ot its sports for all program under the direction of Mr. Royal of the physical education department. An excellent sports program was maintained throughout the school year at Pulaski. Boys and girls were given every opportunity to exercise athletic skills in either varsity or intramural competition. The following varsity teams competed with other schools: football, basketball, track, wrestling, swimming, cross- country, tennis, golf, gymnastics, and baseball. Intramural competition was provided in basketball, volleyball, tag football, table tennis, softball, and wrestling. SWIMMING COACH M. WIELGOSZ
