ggi.. . Z? I X64 The purpose of a school in a community is to aid in the improvement of the quality of living. The school works with other agencies which compose a community to achieve this end. Three important elements in the composition of any community are: the natural or physical resources: the human resources: and man-made resources which we know as social organiza- tions. We improve the quality of living in our community to the extent that we are able to improve the resources of our community. There lies the purpose of our school- namely to participate in the development of all three types of resources in a continuous pro- gram for community improvement. 1 5 A. E. WESTGAARD, Principal. P-49-lbs The world has become one community. We are beginning to see that only stupendous conceit can justify the claims of any race of peo- ple to be wholly superior to any other. History is abundant with the lessons that we cannot escape brotherhood of some kind. In education lies the great strength and force to help us move forward to the brotherhood of a cooperative world with all its fruits of liberty and peace. W. L. BRAUER. Vice-Principal.
