CLASS HISTORY who, together with Ioseph Adarnus, Gladys Acker, Robert Forecki, Alice Doherty, Adell Polczynski, Audrey Seymour, and Norman Bednarek held true to the resolution. Gladys Acker, the able leader in all her years, won the title to reign as queen of the Senior Ball through popular vote and Henry Szortyka as her King. Frietsche, the class play, the the Senior Ball, banquet, Char- had chosen Barbara Spring Hop, acter day-all too soon these activities planned so earnestly, come to which were a close only to live forever in the hearts of the Seniors alone. February Class, I942 It was not until the Spring ot 1940 that The Class of '42 gained recognition. At this time Miss Minnie Foulkes and Mr. Ralph Graves were asked to take over as sponsors. Election of officers headed the list of things to be accomplished. Leonard Stachowiak was elected president with Edward Michalak to assist him as Vice-President. Helene Pio- trowski and Peter Zboralski were elected secretary and treasurer, respectively. Not much else was done until the fall. In November of 1941 the class helped sponsor the annual Iunior Prom. Harold Iungbluth reigned as king with his fair queen, Iane Curry. The same officers were kept until Septem- ber 1941. At this time the class was begin- ning its last year at Pulaski. A new com- mission was elected including Leonard Stachowiak as chairman Edward Michalak, Hazel Iacobsen, Peter Zboralski, Ioyce Pos- sell, Thomas Iurkiewicz, and William Burke to supervise the senior activities. The class started off the semester with a bang by spon- soring a dance up in the club room. It proved to be a great success. Almost from the start of the semester, ar- rangements were made for the coming graduation. The commission made arrange- ments for the annual class banquet. Blue was chosen for the cap and gown. The last big event the seniors had the pleasure to sponsor was the Midwinter Fes- tival. The annual class play was presented at this time. The end of Ianuary and graduation came all too soon. The banquet held Ianuary 26 at the City Club was the last social event for the class. Graduation was held on Ianu- ary 28, 1942 with Mr. Iohn Westphal, presi- dent of the Milwaukee School Board, as guest speaker.
