ADM! ISTRATIO All of the ideals of democratic education are incorporated in the administration of Pulaski High School. With the principal and the vice-principal, as the executive adminis- trative leaders, and the faculty, their cap- able executors, students of Pulaski High School enjoy the advantages of being an intergral part of their school. Pulaski High School has no laws, but regulations, not a congress, but a faculty, not a president and vice-president, but a principal and vice-principal. The students are, thus, the people not only of the United States, but of Pulaski High School. Students may make preparations for their chosen careers by taking appropriate sub- jects. These subjects serve as a foundation for the building of characters and careers to come. The instructors in the various subl jects are guides in the personal lives of the students as well, so that a spirit of friendship prevails throughout the students' high school life. Since its inception in l934, Pulaski High School faculty has grown into one of the largest in the Milwaukee school system. There have been many transfers and changes, and even death has effected it. Mr. Fred Warner of the Music Department, was the victim of a tragic drowning in the summer of 1941. Captain Raymond F. Michalak, vice-prin- cipal, and one of the founders of the school, has been away on military leave, for two successive years. He has, however, been replaced by Mr. Bertram Brown, the acting Ann Stogney Emily Walczak Emily Hutter vice-principal. Other teachers who left Pulaski during the year to serve their country in the military forces are: Mr. William Stevenson, of the science depart- ment, Mr. Harold Hoverson, of the commer- cial departmentg and Mr. Harold Williams of the history department. Pulaski High School expects many more changes in its facultyg it also expects the known democratic policies of the faculty to remain in the future.
