E gg N ,.. 6 Publication Staffs Roll with New Year El Dorado yearbook staff was very large this yeor. The staff members worked extra hard to get their pages completed and turned in on time. The staff also had fund raisers to get the new El Dorado T-shirts. This year the yearbook cover was in color, with Joe Muniz doing the drawing. There were two returning staffers, Mortho Sanchez and Joe Muniz. The new staffers' odviser was Mrs. Barbara Beamer. This was Mrs. Bar- bara l3eamer's fourth year conducting the class. Our new editor was Martha Sanchez. The staff worked closely with photograhers to cover school events and activities. El Guerrero had its first change in format in fifteen years. The new format provided for more than twice the copy as before, which sometimes caused problems when stories were scarce. The staff had quite a bit of freedom when it came to more photos and style variation. An experiened stoff was a greot asset to the paper. Enthusiasm and cooperation among the staffers also contributed to make it a very successful year. Diane Hall, sports editor, tried to put more voriety and features on the sports page. Betty Sequra, circulation, and Denise Alacraz, business manager, both enjoyed their jobs, as well as leorned a QFGOT deal from them. Reporter Rudy Almazon stated, El Guerrero was a good way to in- form and be informed, to find out what makes your school tick, what's on the stu- dent's mind and how to express oneself by the media. lt's a good experience, and I encourage others to join and get involved. 15 Working with El Guerrero are Barbara Gardea and Betty Seguro. 23 El Dorodo Staff are: Top row: Debbie Schiffer, Qso Lowe, Norma Duran, Richard Leon, Gilbert Castano.
