Despite lock of experienced tennis ployers, with dedicotion ond interest, stoyed with the progrom. They ended the '81 seoson with o 3-13 record. Cooch for the vorsity ond J,V. wos Corol Merritt. Robie Eostlocl-t cooched the '81 boys tennis teom. Mr. Eostlock felt thot the teom didn't ploy up to their potentiol. The two toughest teoms to beot were Bueno ond Tucson High. The teom leoder wos Roberto Murrieto. Also the teom tried to do well by dedicotion ond interest which ollowed them to stoy with the progrom. All of Mr. Eostlocls's boys im- proved some ospects of their gome. The teom olso worked hord ot it. The squows were beoten in the semi- finols of the city ployoffs by Sohuoro, O-2. With greot determino- tion ond ogressivness the Pueblo Worriors' volleyboll teom end- ed their seoson with 13 victories ond 4 losses. The squows were olso tied for first ploce in the AAA Southwest Leogue with Polo Verde. With outstonding ploying, Sondro Bonillos wos chosen for the first teom All-City by the Arizona Daily Stor. Liso Borreros ond Josie Ochoo mode second teom for the All-City. ln oddition to these honors, Liso Borreros ond Sondro Bonillos tried out ot the end of the seoson for the Junior Olympic Volleyboll Teom. They mode the teom ofter rugged try-outs ond will trovel oll over the United Stotes ploying volleyboll this sum- mer.
