Cross Counfrg Struggles fo Improve New freshman football coach, Chris Rosas, and forty freshmen players worked extremely hard to prepare themselves both mentally and physically for their season. Lack of experience was the main factor for their final record of 1-7. Coach Rosas and his assistant, Quihuis, and former Warrior, Richard Reyes, emphasized the basic skills, which will enable the players to be more successful at the junior varsity level in the future. Coach Quihuis stated, Many of our boys have never played organized football before. Pueblo Warriors defeated the Palo Verde Titans 21-O for their only victory of the season. Most outstanding players were Raul Islas, line-backer, and half back, Bobby Taylor, quarterback Chris Malleneaux, linebacker, and Rafael Salazar, defensive back. 17 Norman Manny Duarte struggles to finish for J.V. 25 Freshman Football Members are: Top Row: Raymond Mansfield, Peter Bernal, Gene Molina, William Wilson, Tony Cardenas, Manny Guaidacon, Bobby Taylor, Valentine Valenzuela, Eddie Lopez, Jorge Monreal, Charlie Quihuis, Chris Rosas, Danny Ortiz, Herrado Talamontes, Roy Varelas.
