This yeor's J.V. footboll teom didn't do os well os the school expected. They showed thot they hod couroge to go out on the field ond foce defeot. The J.V. squod hod one thing going for them, per- sistence. Gome ofter gome they ployed like o number one contending teom, only to be sent home winless. The J.V. teom wos smort ond tolented, commented cooch John Doggett. The only thing they locked wos execution of ploys. One of the moin reosons the J,V. squod did poor- ly wos thot the teom didn't hove enough skill. Mr. John Doggett wos o new counselor ot Pueblo. He's been o cooch for ten yeors. He cooched ot Polo Verde High. He's been o trock, bosketboll, ond boseboll cooch ot Tucson High. Mr. Doggett stoted thot the J.V. teom em- phosized pride ond persistence ond thot's whot it took to be o quolity othletes ond to represent our school.
