He was selected for the All-Star team second team. ln the city meet he didn't do as well as expected. SIX: Varsity girls concentrate for a fast start. VE Girl's varsity cross country team led by Elizabeth Valdez, a freshman, were outstanding. They placed 6th in the all-city only three points away from 5th place. Elizabeth Valdez placed nineteenth in the all-city meet finals. Even though the girls did well, overall lack of participation resulted in there being no junior varsity team. Girls varsity had a young, but excellent team. Cross country boy's B team got off to a slow start, but it was due to the fact that it, too, was a young team. They ended up with a two win and nine loss record. With a lot of gained experience, they're looking forward to next year for a better season. Mary Garcia 'Va E Q9 ii-136211 SJ XJ !
