Ifililocdieli QD.. ENII.. This year Pueblo represented the Nation of Peru in the Model United Nations Conference at the UA. Pueblo members and others role-played a real Model United Nations session by partici- pating and voting as their nation would vote on important world issues. Pueblo's Peruvians partici- pated in four committees. They debated and voted on seven dif- ferent issues ranging from the Energy Crisis to the Middle East Crisis, and the rights of the peo- ple. The final General Assembly session was interrupted by the kidnapping of some Iranian di- plomats who were to be held hostage until Iran returned the American hostages being held in Iran.
