F ILA Pueblo's chapter of FBLA made lo- cal news at Christmas time by an- swering about one-hundred letters to Santa from Tucson children. There was an article in the Daily Ari- zona Star complete with a icture. Other activities includecl, several conferences around Arizona, bowl- ing parties, and field trips. Mr. lack Zimmer was the advisor and there were 7 officers, they were Diana Canez, president, Nelva Or- tiz, vice-president, Michelle Cox, secretary, Ms. Zeneida Peralta trea- surer, Lucy Perez, historian, l.I Cas- tillo reporter, and Patsy C. Martinez parliamentarian. FBLA was also very active with fund raisers. They sold the tradition- al homecoming mum along with posters and super snacks. All the money went to help the club. During the summer, 8 members went to the national conference in New Orleans. Catalina Diaz won the Who's Who in the U.S.A. award. Sam Valdovin Cooperative Office Education or COE is a class taken by seniors who have completed two business classes. COE students are working in banks and offices around the city. The total class income for the nine weeks was 56,792.94 Last years COE class earned over 538,000 during the year, stated COE advisor Mrs. Re- becca Moens. Social activities were planned for those students who had to leave campus at noon time to go to their jobs and couldn't participate in oth- er school activities. There were 25 members in COE with 4 officers. They met fourth pe- riod as necessary.-Sam Valdovin ONE: Rosa Rivera listens to instructions, during an FBLA meeting. I. Castillo, Ray Romero. THREE: Leticia Camacho worked as a Girl Friday at the Eclipse.
