Music Crulsin Movies and Fun... Cruising, going to the movies, listening to New Wave Rock or Disco, there was always some- thing to do, and places to go. On Friday night and on the weekends it was easy to find a party or some people to hang out with by cruising Sixth or going 'to Rodeo or Kennedy Parks. Movies were big whether it was a 5154.00 theatre ticket or 53.50 a carload flick at the Apachie drive-in. Movie favorites seemed to be, Star Trek , The jerk , 10 , The Rose , and Apo- calipse Now. Another favorite hangout spot was Skate Country which fea- tures Disco Roller skating. Concerts were a highlight with a long list of hard rockers along with disco and Triple Z jazz. Bad Company, The Cars, Styx, Kan- sas, journey, Blue Oyster Cult, Chuck Mangione, Rush and The Sugarhill Gang along with others dominated the Tucson concert season. Ticket prices ranged from 57.00-510.00 depending on the seating arrangements. Po ular albums were Pink Floyclls Another Brick in the Wall which features children singing, protesting their need for education. This song caught the attention of old and young alike. Donna Summer was back with two new albums, Bad Girls and Donna Summers Greatest Hits on the Radio. Disco was everywhere at Pueb- lo, in the hallways, occasionally in classroom, and even in the res- trooms. The hit songs were: Don't Stop Till You Get Enough by Michael jackson, Rappers Delight by the Sugar Hill Gang, The Beat Goes On by The Whispers, and also Too Hot by Cool and the Gang.
