U , 1 E Laura Hodges Rosalie Wong Sagrlgno Santa M rouiz Physical Education Mario Castro Larry McKee Oscar Carrillo ONE Student aims for a strike. TWO Concentration is the main idea for bowling. THREE Taking four steps are a few of the basic rules for bowling. FOUR Freshmen students have fun fooling around in the water. FIVE Warming up is a daily routine in P.E. and Diane Walker and loanne Ormsby show how it's done. Physical education is a two year class that is required for graduation. Some of the courses offered are swimming, volleyball, tennis, square dancing, and other sports. The new course offered in the P.E. department is bowling. Bowling was a sport that not too many students knew how to play. Many juniors at Pueblo have had the oportunity to learn, lt all happened at the new nearby Santa Cruz Lanes. Students took bowling as a class and have had much success while earning credit. Both Cordelia lundquist and Betty Nye plan to retire to devote their time to sports, crafts, travel and reading. They have taught at Pueblo for 25 years. Oscar Carrillo also left the department for a career in the U.S. Postal Service. -Sharon Sims .

If you didn't know what these phrases meant, then you should have taken foreign language classes. Foreign language classes taught different things about the culture, history, and language grammar. Reading books and seeing films helped the students write and speak the languages. Foreign Language department also offered Mexican folk dancing for students and sponsored Los Payadores, Mexican singing group. It was directed by Mrs. Sally Lefko. Pueblo welcomed Mr. lohn Nichols and Mr. Bill Gordon as German and French teachers new to the department. W N Minor changes in the 1'-s curriculum of Adaptive as t - Education this year included gggge 1 tgg? gg a s f Hearing Impaired classes for , , students with hearing problems. 'A Learning Disabilities Resource is . o ,'.. f-' ' . , t - e- a t T at 'F l a' iw NVE helped students with studies on Bill Gordon lohn Nichols V Foreign Languages est 5 Mario Castro Estehela Gonzalez Sally Lefko - a resource basis, also available were classes for students in elective areas. Adaptive Physical Education classes helped students with physical problems. The new teachers in the department this year are Lois Rene Alley, Charlene Kingfield, and Kathy Woodcock. -Mary Ellen Valle ONE jennifer Molina teaches adaptive education classes at Pueblo High School. TWO Kathy Woodcock, helps student. THREE Fransico Tellez and lose Cordova do their work in their French class. FOUR Ida Arvizu and Susie Lopez concentrate in the resource room. FIVE Sheila Acosta enjoys her work during Spanish class.
