Changes have been made this year with the advisors. Now, there is a head advisor who doesn't have any students, but takes care of administrative mat- ters such as Career Guidance for students. Some of the advisors now have more students. Mrs. Velez took Mr. R0dger's students and Mr. Gastellum took over Mr. Santa Cruz's Students. This change was due to com- plaints from students. Last year one complaint was that the advi- sors were never there when needed. This wasn't because we were hiding, but were occupied with some other students , re- plied Mr. Collier. Most students now have an easier time getting to see their advisors. -Wendy Woods Mrs. lan Zimmerman is Pueb- lo's new career guidance coor- dinator. She also has various jobs such as helping students with schedule changes. Mrs. Zimmer- man was a counselor at Maxwell junior High for three years. She also counselled at Townsend ju- nior High for two years and was an elementary teacher for five years at Brichta School. I enjoy counseling the most , said Mrs. Zimmerman. I like the students at Pueblo and see the need for a lot of changes, but I think that students can work together to get a delegate assembly for more student input to help with changes. I think it would be a lot more successful if students and faculty worked together as a team , concluded Mrs. Zimmer- man- -Wendy Woods Advisors Change Sgy-Siem f Gt1i,- 2 , Wm ...,... new .-',, wfiwawaii-,awww .ZM?'WiTHRTE gh. s,,, .M M . . -

The answer was yes, according to an interview with Mr. Hendrickson, principal. He said there will be many changes within the school. For example, a change will be the big gym converted into part of the cafeteria and building a new gym on the school's west side. An- other planned change is to have the teachers cafeteria extended into the bookstore and also put- ting a ramada in the patio and enlarging the pool area. Mr. Hendrickson hopes to see these changes made within the next four to six years. -Veronica Lowe
