junior Varsit Team Play nd Prepare For Th Future The junior Varsity boys team started out their season with a 2- 5 record at the time this book went into press. Coach Nunez is really pleased with his team. The girls junior varsity team was coached by Mrs. Larson, a new coach at Pueblo. This is her first year teaching high school tennis. lin Action lot of participation this year. There were 22 varsity and 33 ju- nior varsity. Fred Roscoe, Tom Short, Ken Thomas, and Danny Gibson were Coach Hitchcock's fastest runners this year. Coach Hitchcock commented that Ros- coe could be one of the best in state in the 440. In the mile relay his outstanding runners should be Ken and Tom Thomas, Danny Gibson, Tom Short and Fred Roscoe. Coach Hitchcock stated that he had a lot of hard workers. Girls track this year had many freshmen on the team, stated Coach Carlson, Elizabeth Val- dez, Vickie and Vivan Tamayo were her outstanding mile run- ners. There were a lot of return- ing varsity members. lulie Alfieri was a hurdler. Van Hubert, and janet Hurts handled shotput and discus.
