The wrestling teams along with coaches Iohn Mulay and Gary Slagel worked very hard to achieve such good scores ac- cording to both coaches. The outstanding j.V. Wrestlers were: Tommy Soto, loe Valen- zuela, Mike Valenzuela, lames Modesitt, and Ignacio Herman. Coach Slagel concluded by stat- ing, They were all winners with 12 wrestlers having a winning season. The l.V. Wrestler's record was 7-1-2, and the Freshman had a 7- 4-0 record. -Cynthia Varelas

Their record, at the time the book went to press, was 5-2. Oscar Na- varro, Michael Payne, and Efrain Chacon are exceptionally good players in Mr. Nunez's opinion. He has a good group to work with as they work hard and some could play for junior college teams if they keep up with it. Mr. Nunez has been coaching for fif- teen years and has enjoyed every minute of it. Mr. Nunez was at one time a tennis player at Pueb- lo as a student and has gotten very involved in tennis as a coach and advisor. Pueblo's girls' tennis teams have a new coach, Mrs. Larson. In her opinion, the best players will be the returning players who are mostly seniors. Returning senior players are Yolanda Hi- guera, Ingrid Lee, and Rachael Vidal. Coach Larson also thought that the west league schools of Am- phitheater and Catalina as well as the east league schools of Sabino and Sahuaro will be tough to meet and beat.
