This award is given by the El Dorado yearbook and voted on by all faculty members honoring the year's top student. Janie has been a consistent worker in her community and climbed her way to the school's highest office-student body president. Janie's personality and perseverance in her activities give promise of a future of success and re- ward in college and later life. Similar to the Hall of Fame is the EI Dorado's second award, Athlete of the Year, voted on by the athletic de- partment of Pueblo. The most outstanding athlete of the year was BILL MCKINLEY. Copping All-City as a junior, All-State as ci senior, Bill worked his way to a place on the high school All-American football squad. Also, a varsity basketballer for two years, Bill's athletic future is a secure one with three full N.C.A.A. scholarship offers to top universities. 35
