October Escorling the 1967 Homecoming queen Janie Phebus to her throne, king George Hernandez grips with assurance her gloved hand as he holds his golden football. Homecoming began October's calendar of events with the Warrior gridders contending Maryvale in a non-conference game. During halftime the royalty was announced. George Hernandez and Janie Phebus reigned tor the evening. Harbor Lights was the theme for the semi-formal dance. Music was provided by the Lewallen brothers. Senior Day, on October 99nd brought interested students to the University of Arizona campus. The day of events was climaxed with tree admittance to the U. of A. vs Utah game. Following the burning ot the Troian horse, spirited Warriors made their way to Catalina in the traditional car caravan. Prizes were given for the most original car decorations. Expressions of excitement and anticipation were seen on the spectators game. Pueblo fans were at home for three out of the four games played. faces while they watched for an extra point conversion at an October Warm weather permitted light clothing to be worn at the evening events. 19

Congressman Morris K. Udall spoke on current problems at a special assembly. Time was alotted for a question and answer period. A superior rating held special mean- ing To The Warrior Band during November. For The first time in eight years, Pueblo received The highest award given at The University of Arizona Band Day. Women of Tomorrow was The Theme followed for The annual Mother-Daughter Banquet. Out of The ordinary routine, an evening demonstration was puT on by a iudo club. English Teacher Carlos Velez was a participant in The program. Judge Alice Truman was guest speak- er aT The HRCC Leadership Conference. Fol- lowing a Mexican dinner, Those who aT- tended were asked to ioin small groups where opinions regarding leadership prob- lems were expressed. Recreating The Trials of Anne Frank in her diary was The first production of The drama classes. Director Don Caslow brought out The Terrorism That was Typical during The time ofthe mass killings of Jews. Demonstrating some of The Techniques used in karati and iudo ' was Mr. Carlos Velez, English teacher. Girls' League hosted the event. November We're here To show we're Warrior fans so come on prove it!
