Approximately sixteen hundred students were involved in the math program. Extensive use of over- head projectors, films, field trips, and guest speak- ers supplemented the curriculum. Various courses were offered to meet the personal demands of each student. A future college math major could delve into the complexities of calculus while the needs of the average student were met by algebra, geometry, and consumer math. Free tutoring was offered to stu- dents in need of extra help. Meaningful and chal- lenging courses combined with eager and helpful faculty produced marked results in the learning of mathematics.
