Juniors Qlaved Toward Greai Prom Class Turmoil and a special elecTion were The resulfs of Charlie Molina's failure To reTurn To PHS in The fall of '66, Charlie was To be The iunior class presidenT. When his absence from The campus was noTed, Rita Crawford moved inTo The head posiTion. Since The office of vice-president was vacaTed by Rifa, a special election was held. Alvaro Rivera was elecfed. As soon as The officer problem was seTTled, The class moved righf inTo proiecfs. Selling Voo Doo dolls was inherifed from The seniors. As well as making money, 110 selling The dolls helped To raise school spiriT. Dark and lighT blue pompons were peddled by ac- Tive members of The class. Fridays were decoraTed with many sTudenTs waving These colorful examples of Their spiriT. PresenTing a junior prom in April climaxed The year. Long formals were worn and corsages were sniffed. All seniors were issued special invifafions as an honor from The iunior class. OTher officers were Yolanda Espinola, secreTary, and Robert Tom, Treasurer.
