...RADIO CLUB... Involved in the mysteries of dots and dashes with Mr. Ray Davis helping to unravel the mysteries for them is the Pueblo Radio Club. In addition to learning the M o r s e Code the members of the group have been learning to operate a ham radio set. Among the more interesting activities of the club this season was a visit to the Naval Re serve headquarters. President of the group is Wes Stewart. ...RIFLE CLUB... Co-ed marksmanship is only one of the purposes of the Rifle Club. The major aim of the organi- zation is instruction in the c are and handling of weapons. Advisors for the group are Mr. Charles Traister and Mr. Gerald Whitaker, the officers are Gilbert Gallego, presidentg Linda Goacher, secretaryg and Alice Hoffman, treasurer. . . . FOSSIL DIGGERS. . . Tracing the human family tree keeps Mr. Robert Pollard's Fossil Diggers digging happily away. Mu s e um s and books rather than ruins are the locales of the club's excavations, but anthro- pological information is what the members seek. Pictured with Mr. Pollard are the officers of the club: Audrey Segar, president: Richard Benson, vice presidentg Robert Benson, treasurer, and Jo Ann Halt, secretary. . . WOODCRAFTERS. . Just some guys who like to make thing s out of wood are the Woodcrafters. This truly indepen- dent group, under the direction of Mr. Dick Knapp, c onduc ts its affairs on a completely individual basis. The group elects no offic e r sg it has no tre as ur y. Each m e m be r decides whether he wants to make a rolling-pin, bread board, chess board, or drum sticks and procee ds about his business with the he lp and advice of Mr. Knapp. His rewards are the results, whatever they may be.

. . .FUTURE HOMEMAKERS. . . The Pueblo chapter of the Future Homemakers of America coordinated its efforts this year with the national group. The club in a table-setting concert sponsored by Seventeen magazineg made C h r i s tm a s toys for-childreng and compiled a yearbook of their activities which they dedicated to the Indian students. Mrs. Leola LeRoy was the group sponsor: and Mary Rhodes was president. . .FUTURE TEACHERS. . . The purpose of the Future Teachers of America is to give students interested in teaching an idea of what the teaching pr ofe s sion is. Pueblols chapter is named for our principal, Elbert D. Brooks. Advisors for the group are Mrs. Mary Stote r a and Mrs. Marjorie Benson. Officers are: pres- ident, Irma Basurtog vice-pre side nt, Josie Lopezg secretary, Roxy Roda: and treasurer, Irma Amado. . . . FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS... Organized to promote additional training for business leadership and to encourage top quality performance in business activities, the Futur e Business Leaders of America is a study group. The yea.r's activities consisted of lis te ning to speakers and taking field trips to business estab- lishments. The group advisors are Miss Wanda Nicoson and Mrs. Beatrice Tracy. Officers are president, Stella Quinbarg vice-president, Ir m a Nevarezg secretary, Rachel Mesag t r e a s u r e r, Leonar Gallardop reporter, Mary Lopez. .. .FUTURE MEDICAL WORKERS. .. Purpose of the Future Medical Workers is to help students learn about nursing as a career. The club entertains speakers at its m e eting s and visits hospitals and other agencies employing nur s e s. Advisor for the group is Mrs. Mildr e d Schupp, school nurse. The officers are: Carmen Salinas, presidentg Frances R. Stewart, vice-presidentg and Alice Galvan, secretary.

The Pueblo Chapter of the National Quill and Scroll is a small and very select group and membership represents outstanding achievement in newspaper or yearbook work. Advisor for the local group is Mrs. Jacqueline Hawkins. Officers are, president, Sylvia Kerr: vice-president, Jean Thompson, and secretary- treasurer is Dave McClure. . .MODELING CLUB. . . Chief concern of the Modeling Club, directed by Mrs. Eileen Sherlock and Mrs. Shirley Robinson, is the wear and selection of proper clothing. The group sponsored fas hion shows for the girls of Pueblo High. Club officers for the past year were, president, June Popsong vice-president, Dannette Wils ong secretary, Marie Moroyoquig and treasurer, Cruz Polanco. . . . RED CROSS ORGANIZATION. . . Mrs. Katherine Sasse's Red Cross Organization was easily one of the most active of the Pueblo clubs during the past year. A service group for the community, the Pueblo chapter was give n national recognition when its president Louis e Contreras was featured in the Junior Red Cross Journal. Among the important projects for the ye ar were the big fall enrollment drive and the preparation of Christmas gift boxes. Officers are: president, Louise Contrerasgvice- pr e side nt, A lex Cooperg corresponding sec- retary, Lillian Morenog r e c o r din g secretary, Anita Dumas: treasurer, Armando Alday. . .SQUARE DANCE CLUB. . . The Pueblo Square Dance Club is sponsored by Mr. Chuck Beals and its aim is the amusement of its members. Its meeting s are open to all those interested in this particular form of enter- tainment. Officers of the group are Bob Wilson, presidentg and Carol Eberle, secretary-treasurer.
