The Commercial Art Class, unde r the supervision of Mr. Herb Waesch, continued this year in the tradition they initiated in 1957, our first year in the Pueblo buildings, by creating a mural in chalk and pastels. The project was a cooperative class effort. First, the group decided upon an idea they desired to have carried out, then each individual in the class executed his own conception of the idea. When the individual pictures were displayed, the class decided by vote which of the several conceptions they wished t- produce.

All m embe r s of the class par- ticipated in the actual drawing. The finished product was a striking panel. The blue-clad figure of the Virgin was surrounded by an aura of yellow. Between the overcast sky and the grey-white snow was a division of purple hills. Purple, too, were the robes of the singers. The houses and trees were done in shades of red, brown, yellow, and green.
