HALL OF FAME The yearbook proudly presents JAY B USB Y, as the recipient of the FIRST ANNUAL ELDORADO HALL OF FAME AWARD. Jay, who, among other activities, is an ardent competitor in basket- ball and baseball, vice-president of the s enio r class, honor society member, boys' state dele- gate, and active participant in dozens of s c h o ol activities, was selected for the awa rd by a stu- dent and faculty committee, after candidates for the honor were chosen by a senior home r oom committee headed by Mary Cass and Charles Hall. When the 30-pe 1' s on committee, equally divided between students and faculty, had voted, .Tay had a clear lead over his four c ompetitors. The ELDORADO hopes the Hall Of Fame will become a permanent department in the book and that all members will be honored in subsequent is s ue s. We hope that election to the Hall of Fame will be the most sought after and exclusive senior honor. p fx sllajan Ya W, n QM V V ', falls Q :fit is if X 7 -rg' 'A fs' m WM sqft it .K N , SQYQYQQ ww il Andy Liechty, letterman in football, basketball, and baseball was named Pueblo's first ATHLETE OF THE YEAR in an informal poll c onduc te d among the coaches and administrators of Pueblo High School. Andy is a member of the National Honor Socie ty, a Boys' State delegate, a mem- ber of the senior class executive council, sports editor for the ELDORADO, and a campus leader. Last year he was named to the Tuc s on All-City Ba ske tball Team, and was captain of the 1956 football Warriors. Andy's major competition for the honor was Angris Alexander. Angris was a member of the basketball squad and one of the outstanding track- men in the state. ATHLETE CF THE YEAR 3
