SPIRITUAL GUIDES Dear Father Voss . . . There is probably not one pupil, from the time you first came to PCH, who has not, at one time or another, gone to you for help in solving a problem. Each of these you have met with kind understanding. Each pupil has been made a little wiser, or a little more encouraged by your kindness. We have always felt that you were our friend, and this you have proved to be in many, many instances. We know that there have been times, probably too nu- merous to mention, when we tried your patience. For such times, we are truly sorry and hope that you will re- member only the good things about us students at Cath- olic High. We feel we are very privileged to have been under your guidance during the past four years. May Our Lady during this, her year, shower an abund- ance of blessings upon you. Gratefully in Christ, STUDENTS of PUEBLO CATHOLIC HIGH f ,. aswam- , .mv FATHER ELWOOD C. VOSS 511,t1er'i111e11de11l For the past year, Father Louis C. Stovik has held the position of director of discip- line at Pueblo Catholic High School. He has undertaken the task of making the stu- dents realize -that the high school students of today should and MUST be the leaders of tomorrow. The purpose of high school is to mold o n e ' s character and plant good moral habits. Only those serious-minded enough to realize the difficulty of this great task can even hope to achieve it. Thank you for your part in making the 1955-54 school year one of the best in its history. From left: Father Elwood C. Voss, Father Louis C. Stovik.

I should have ordered a larger ribbon, declared President, Dwight D. Eisenhower, as he fastened the blue star-studded ribbon of the Congressional Medal of Honor around the neck of six-foot Marine Lieutenant Raymond G. Murphy. Pueblo Catholic High students can proudly salute Lieutenant Raymond jerry Murphy, a member of the Class of 1948. Jerry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Murphy, is the first alumnus to receive the highest military award, the Congressional Medal of Honor. Lt. Raymond Murphy smiles broadly as the Congressional Medal is secured by President Dwight I8 D. Eisenhower.
