Leading I8-O at half time, Coach Carmichael used substitutes freely during the last half. Late inthefourth quarter Siloam put together two long drives against Pryor's second unit. PRYOR I4 SPRINGDALE 7 The Tigers first counter came early in the second period following a first quarter filled with penalties and little advancement of the ball. The third period was high-lighted with both teams battling it out in the middle of the field. ln the fourth quarter the Tigers broke the rugged defense of the Bulldogs' and went over for another T. D. PRYOR I4 MIAMI 32 A fired-up Miami eleven moved through Tiger defenses during thefirst halfto roll up a 24-O lead. Miami added another pointer in the third period. Both Tiger T. D.'s came in the final period with less than eight minutes to play. PRYOR 38 CLAREMORE 22 The Tigers bounced back into the win column by dropping Claremore 38-22. The Zebras spurt- ed for two T. D. 's in the second quarter to lead the Tigers briefly I4-I2, but the Tigers offense rallied again and Tigers led I8-I4 at half time. They continued to widen the margin throughoutthe game. PRYOR 20 NOWATA 20 The Tigers roared into an early first quarter lead against the Ironmen only to have the Ironmen bounce back in the second period with two T. D. 's leaving the Tigers lead at I4-I2 by half time. Both teams failed to yieldinthethird quarter. Early in the fourth the lronmen broke loose with a 73 yard run making the score 20-I4. Packed with action and thrills the Tigers blocked a pass and brought the ball down for a T. D. with three minutes and twenty seconds to play, making the score 20-20. PRYOR 34 BROKEN ARROW I6 Pryor's offense clicked early in the first quarter with a long pass down the middle for a T. D. only to have it called back on a penalty. The Tigers ended the first half with a 20-O lead. In the second halt, the Bengals came through with two more T. D.'s. PRYOR 30 VINITA O The Tigers turned the Vinita Hornets toward home with their stinger sheathed in a conference tilt 30 - O. The Tigers established a brisk pace from the start with a T. D. in the first quarter. Two more came in the second quarter, and still another came on a pass interception in the third period. PRYOR 40 WAGONER 24 Scoring within minutes after the initial kick off Pryor's Tigers soundly laced the heralded Wagoner Bulldogs 40 to 24. The Tiger counted their first tally by rushing and passing for 69 yards in six plays. The pass for the extra two points was good and the Bengals were off to a good start, 8 to O. PRYOR I8 PAWHUSKA 6 The Pryor Tigers going into their ninth game of the season had ahard time punching the ball over the stripes by having a 6-6 tie at half-time. In the second half, the Tigers increased their lead by a kickoff return making it I2-6. Later in the fourth quarter, the Tigers scored their last tally but missed the extra point, making the final score I8-6. The Huskies scored their lone tally on a pass from the I5. PRYOR 26 TAHLEQUAH 6 The Tigers came through the muddy field to take the Tahlequah Tigers with a score of 26-6. With less than two minutes under way in the game, Pryor came through with a T. D. The second T. D. followed in four minutes. The half ended with the score 20-6. The Pryor Tigers managed to keep the muddy ball under control during the third period. The fourth period was packed with threats of scoring from the opponents, but the final tally was held to 26-6 which was chalked in the third quarter. There's alot more to speaking correctly than meets the eye. I ' I S I I ENGLISH III Here Rosemary Detien helps a student with her English. This subject is required every year of iunior high and high school. One hundred thirty-three students are enrolled under Mrs. Detien. Shouldn't whisper in class, Diana Packard and Patt Deering. GEOMETRY One hundred students listen daily as Milton Phillips explains these problems. Geometry is required by most colleges for entrance. It is also a great help to engineers. Suprisingly enough geometry helps solve everyday problems fUh - , line A equals line B - - - l think?i DIVERSIFIED OCCUPATIONS This is a part time co-operative program. L. D. Houser is co-ordinator. Thirty-seven students represent fifteen trades. Each student has an opportunity to learn and earnp and at the same time complete a formal course of education. ART Mary Louise Janz teaches this subiect in which only two high school students participate. Learning to draw, sketch, paint, and other creative hand craft will be handy in later life. HOME ECONOMICS The most important occupation fora woman is being a housewife and certainly she wants to be a good one., Jessie Riley prepares many high school girls for the cooking and sewing a home needs., How's the dress coming girls? COMMERCE Fred S., Parks keeps his 49 shorthand l students and 21 shorthand ll students rapidly writing as he dictatesu Shorthand is iust one of many things you need to know in business. Such as - - How does that adding machine work? TYPING Ninety-nine typing l students and fifty-seven typing II students make up the classes of Dorothy Barnett. Learning how to type requires co- ordination, concentration, and practice. AMERICAN HISTORY James Vencill, here, takes charge ofthe classes studying about the government and its backgroundc History is a required course for juniors. DRIVING James A. Griffin is the apt instructor in our driving classes. The 44 students are divided up so that each person drives once a week. Driving is a half year course. They help teachers during study hall and other spare times. ln this way they receive helpful teaching'-ints and find out it they really want to become teachers. It the girls are able to work 50 hours during the year they are permitted to go to the rally held at Tulsa University in March. We enjoyed hearing them Christmas, when they presented the Messiah , They are planning an operetta in March and a variety show sometime soon.
