jlnfmwnfzd This is our school, our town, our community. Here we live the year-round, going to school, playing and working. In this rural section of the United States of America live an enterprising and energetic type of citizenry. We aspire to enlarge the agricultural aspect and to develop the industrial field as fast as facilities and a peaceful era will allow. Situated on trans-continental travel routes, Pryor is as close to its cus- tomers and warehouses as the M K 8zT Railroad and State Highway 69. An airport accommodating private planes and the lake area to the northeast, feasible for seaplanes, are available for air travel. Telephone, telegraph and radio communication are as modern as the day. KOLS, operating from 7 a.m. to sunset on 1570 kilocycles, has been in operation since june, 1950 The School is a central enterprise with more than 500 enrolled in high- school. The new building was completed in 1944 with 28 classrooms and audi- torium. The gymnasium is a remodeled building since the 1942 tornado. Farms boast a variety of products, perhaps the most extensive being stock- raising. Several strains of pure-bred cattle are raised in the area. Planting perma- nent pasture is a common practice. Pryor homes range from the luxurious to the modest one-unit type. World War II brought in federal housing projects, and within the past 10 yea-rs. many new homes have been built by successful citizens of the town. Television aerials bristle over many homes, large and small, in town and on the farms. Pryor is in the lake section of Oklahoma where the hunting and fishing are richest of the state and where water power is turned into electricity. Shops in downtown Pryor are as up-to-date as can be found anywhere. On direct lines are Kansas City to the north and Dallas to the south. This is our school, our town, our community. We love it.
