Air power and its potentialities are the oil which keep the international industry and economics of the world running smoothly. Losing the second to a fighting Grove eleven in the last 3 minutes of play, the Tigers came back and knocked off the next four contenders, Miami, Tulsa Central B , Tahlequah, and Vinita, with not a point scored against the Blue and Gold. The following tilts with Nowata and Pawhuska, the strong treats in the Verdigris Valley Conference, were lost but the Tigers were up for the remaining games, vanquishing Strong and our long-time rivals, the Claremore Zebras. Our squad took several honors this year. The team placed third in the Verdigris Valley Conference, Jacks was chosen for first string on the all-conference eleven and the all-state North team, Kiesel made second team in all-conference and won honorable mention from all-state.
