FELLOW Sruntrvrsz l address you as fellow students because education, in its truest sense, is an endless experience. Everyday our life becomes richer, like the alluvial soil of the Mississippi Delta, and purer, like the clear, sparkling water of Spavinaw Lake, or, it becomes as devoid as the stony hillside, and as contaminated as the waters of the Dead Sea. Consequently, education cloes not cease wheniformal education ends, but merely commences, so that your influence may evolve to bring beauty and sweet fragrance, like a rose, to a contaminated world. Psychologists tell us that everv experience is indeliblv written in our brain cells, and, whether we like it or not, adds up to the sum total of what we are. Therefore, we cannot stand still in this process of life, and it behooves us to keep our mincls filled with the pure, the beautiful, and the unadulterated. My kindest hope for you is that you may have learned here how to Plain your continuing education when your school days are over. ,4 47 .M 4 ff Q if if GARLAND GODFREY, I SUPERINTENDISNT or SCHOOLS
