Girls in foods and homeliving classes discovered that running an efficient, happy home is a complicated business. Boys learned that to make farming a profitable business they must master the proper techniques. A stitch in time is our motto, said Mary Lou Peterson and Annette Deaton to Brent Sperry and Dean Jensen. As members of Mrs. Barnett's home living class, they believed in keeping up on their stitching. Mary Ellen Penrod, Joan McClure, and Elaine Lee — members of Mrs. Valentine's food class — practiced the culinary art and learned one way to a man's heart. Homeliving Sophomore Goals Vesta W. Barnett . . . advised Phi Gamma Psi officers and, as faculty chairman, was overseer of all functions of the —25— club. Advanced Clothing II Elementary Clothing I Foods Bonnie M. Ball . . . taught members of her class to cook; bid them farewell at the half year. Foods Elementary Clothing I Advanced Clothing II Sheronne R. Valentine . . . assumed Mrs. Ball's classes at mid-year; stood by decisions of junior class officers; rendered assistance to senior girls as Phi Gamma Psi advisor.

Greater Utah - Economics Geography Ross Denham ... to those boys who needed advice and counsel he offered sympathetic and understanding guidance; assisted the principal in school matters. F. F. A. Boys brushed up on the best method of cutting and cooking beef. i¥eant, -24-

Biology Zoology and Botany Frank Witney . . . recruited wrestlers to form a wrestling team; assistant football coach; helped supervise functions of Lettermen's Club. Physics Algebra I Algebra II Wayne A. Cowley . . . aside from his algebra and physics classes he scheduled all audio visual aids. Algebra I Algebra II Drafting I Frank G. Chambers . . . helped junior officers plan many fine events; was chairman of the dance committee. Geometry Solid Geometry Algebra I Rudolph P. Reese . . . aided Provo Education Association as building representative; acted as chairman of scholarship committee, which handled all applications for scholarships. Science Department Algebra II captured and held the Interest of Provo High's future scientists. Lee Ellertson, Robert Candland, and Jim Rooney were proficient in evaluating geometry problems and explaining them to the class.
