The highlight of Mrs. Clark's English class was the weekly reading day according to Linnaea Harrison, Selene Sandburg, and Ronald Persons. Judy Carling took advantage of oral reading opportunities offered by Mrs. Taylor in her English class. Reading, recording experiences, discussing good books, and mastering spelling and punctuation were only a few of the many activities that went on in the English department. -21- English II English III German I German II Calvin H. Bartholomew . . . counseled sophomore officers; with members of projection Club presented noon movies. English III Anglish IV Milton A.  One world was the topic under discussion as Mr. Hughes pointed out a strategic spot on the globe to Jay McGregor, Sally Thorne and Lynn Powell. All of the present is rooted in the past.
