)k Vice-president, Gary Anderson presided over the Board of Control and executed many other duties such as directing school affairs in the event of Greg's absence. Minutes of Board of Control and Legislative Council meetings were kept by the efficient student body secretary, Kaye Burrup. She also prepared a book containing a record of the year's important school events. Mary Jean Bernardi, competent business manager, was entrusted with many duties pertaining to financial affairs, such as writing checks, counting money, and making bank deposits. -17-

Likable Student Officers Kaye Burrup and Greg Gosar looked over posters announcing the American Junior Red Cross Drive that was conducted at Christmas time. On the capable shoulders of Greg Gosar, studentbody president, was placed the task of directing and managing all matters pertaining to student government. He proved that he was worthy of the trust placed in him, for, under his guidance, school spirit flourished and a friendly atmosphere prevailed. Left: Mary Jean Bernardi and Gary Anderson approved the blueprints of the new building with a slight feeling of regret that they would be unable to attend high school within its walls. -16-

The Board of Control, consisting of Karen Dixon, Greg Gosar, Dean Jensen, Bryce Nielsen, Kaye Burrup, Anne Boel, Gary Anderson, DeeAnn Sumner, Boyd Jolley, Mary Jean Bernardi, Rush Sumpter, and Danielle Christiansen, held frequent meetings. This body recommended and voted on all matters relating to student activities. Justin Winkler was the superintendent of all Provo High's buildings and the janitorial supervisor for the entire school district. Those men who painstakingly cared for the upkeep of the buildings were Moroni Cottam, Andy Mostert, and Glen Kirkwood.
