SCHOOL AND ADVANCEMENT OF STUDENTS Libbie C. Hayward, Dean of Girls, counseled the girls of the school. As head advisor of the Girls Organization, she made their traditional events joyful, entertaining, and worthwhile. She was a friend to all. Ross Denham, assistant principal, managed the school when the principal was away. Acting as Dean of Boys, he helped to guide the boys and give them the counsel and advice they needed. Eleven

 The Board of Education—Merrill Christopherson, Milton Marshall, Rachel Heninger, Algie Ballif , Ray Murdock, Harold Boyack, J. C. Moffitt—met to discuss problems pertaining to school. This included making policies, employing personnel, and financing the educational problem. THEY WORKED FOR THE BETTERMENT OF lis staff of workers kept the wheels running smoothly the office of the superintendent and the clerk of the oard. Dorothy Woodward, secretary of school lunch; arma Ferguson, secretary to the clerk, (standing); Elmo ynrod, secretary to the superintendent, (sitting). Dr. Lloyd C. Whitlock, student coordinator, helped with many of the personal problems which confronted the students.

Superintendent of Buildings, Justin Winkler, succeeded in keeping the buildings in order. THEY KEPT UP THE Officers of the PTA helped in bringing parents and teachers closer together. They were: Row I. Ed Firmage, Evan Croft, Margaret Beazer, Lola La Vitre, Nellie Cameron, Elmo Boardman, Sarah Baker. Row II. D. V. Tregeagle, Betty Oss, Marian Goldsworthy, There were the days when boys would sit on the lawn and discuss Flora McKell, Marjorie Nordeen. the latest happenings. Gay times were had at the lockers for those who had top ones, but those who were less fortunate had to struggle through the year with bottom lockers. Andrew Mostert, Glen Kirkwood, and Moroni Cottam kept the school and campus clean, and were always on the job. The student body was grateful for all they did.
