vice president. secretary of the student body. Reed Boshard, Business Manager Our Legislative and Executive Councils did a more-than-great iob of governing us. They were made up of equal representation from the senior, iunior, and sophomore classes. The councils discussed and ironed out any difficulty that faced the student body. They were one of the reasons that 1950-1951 was one of our most successful years at PHS. The law making body of our school was the legislative council, left to right, Row l: Helen Heslington, Barbara Nicholson, Reed Boshard, Merrill Peay, Alfred Lee, Don Carter, Row 2: Don Peay, Wayne Keith, Gordon Flygare, Paul Furr, Bud Wardle, Ron Nielson, Lyle Farr, Row 3: Keith Strong, Niel Mackenzie, Kent Harrison, Dick Calder, Donna Smeath, Carma Jane Bradley, Jeanne Loveless, Row 4: JoAnn Allen, JoAnn Gay, Ann Krammermeyer, Marbra Coles, Carol Dunford, Vivian Davies, Verna De La Mare, Mar- Alfred Lee, Provo High School prexy, competent director of student affairs, outstanding athlete . . . was one of those lads who teamed brains with brawn . . . excelled in football and basketball . . . was a favorite through his amiable personality. Whether it was instructing an English class, directing an assembly, or consoling a baffled sopho- more, Mrs Hayward was a person every girl was proud to emulate Hayward's QW ' ' Only Anna Lou Jones could have so capably cared for an office with so rnany strings attached Our questions and pranks were accepted with a smile of understanding Her attitude and accuracy kept the office and all business affairs in top shape, Justin Winkler, superintendent of buildings and grounds of Provo District, certainly did a conscientious lob. His well-organized work was evident in the upkeep of our build ngs We felt there never was a more capable rnan to handle such a large iob so efficiently, 'ST -'W'
