A school is essentially an attempt to improve the natural environment in order that increased learnings and optimum growth may take place. No school, however, that is so completely surrounded by the greatness of natural environment can afford to exclude the great out-of-doors. Provo High School is unusually fortunate in having the majestic mountains, streams, and waterfalls that are ours so near to us. These marvels of nature carved and built through the ages of time should give strength and character to all of us as we explore their wonders and understand the story they silently tell. Bert Crane, Merrill Christopherson, J. C. Moffitt, Milton Marshall, Harold Boyack, Algie E. Ballif, Amos B. Merrill II was with a generous spirit of cooperation that the 'M Board of Education grasped the peace pipe and endeavored to solve the pending problems of school life in Provo City. Through their efforts each and every student was able to enjoy his scholastic training to the fullest extent.
