Scores Short Not having a large turnout at the start of the season, the Varsity soccer team still expected to do well. With a strong defense and an inexperienced offense, the team hoped to have a successful season. However, ending with a 0- 6-1 record in the conference 10-15- 1 overalli, the Panthers did not play up to their expectations. In- juries and ineligible players also hurt the '84 season. The highlight of the season was their WSC playoff game against Downers Grove North. The excit- ing game ended playing two rounds of penalty kicks. Velamir Vidakovich was named the team's M.V.P. Named to the W.S.C. All Conference team Were Vidako- vich, Jim Long, and Mark O. Volk- man.
