Learning Year For JV The Junior Varsity girls tennis team did quite well this season with the ex- perience they had. The team finished 7th in the Conference. There was a surprising win at 2nd doubles against Oak Park and a come-back victory at lst doubles against Downers Grove North. These JV girls acted as a team and had no most valuable player, and this type team will achieve great heights. Although the varsity swimming team was very small and had many difficulties filling all events, the girls worked very hard ending the year with 1 win and 6 losses. The one win was over Oak Lawn. Linda Kopija, who was the team's Most Valuable Player, Played 2nd singles and finished 4th in the Distric Tournament. The first doubles team consisting of senior Theresa Parilla and junior Michelle Blattner formed a crutial part of the team. Everyone is looking forward to next year's sea- son. V?
