Darren Dial became the team's Most Valuable Player by qualifying in four events in the state meet. Darren is the first athlete to accomplish this since 1969. All four relay teams and fifteen indi- viduals qualified for the state meet. Pole Vaulter Tony Gonzalez captured the honor of third in the state. Wayne Spevak took eighth in the state in the triple jump. Provi- so had many letter winners returning last year including: Dave Brown, Darren Dial, Tony Farruggio, Tony Gonsalez, Bob Ha- ley, Eyder Rubio, Chuck Watts, Tracy Rob- inson.
