The ltalian club's main goal is to give Proviso West's Italian T students a chance to learn about their italian heritage. The italian Club's main events this year included being in the Columbus Day Parade and at- tending a dinner with an Italian guest speaker who talked about his Italian background. Proviso's Cultural Clubs The Proviso West German Club is an informal group open to all students whether they are studying German or not. Members raise funds by means of bake sales, candy sales and the sale of German Advent calendars each year. The proceeds from the fundraisers go to worthwhile causes in the school as well as paying good members costs to events such as a circus, the Ice Capades, horseback riding, or a place ot historical -interest. Occasionally there is a trip to a German restaurant. Members may bring non-paying guests. The club usually participates in the annual school charity week.
