The importance of vocational training has increased tremendously with the growing need of skilled labor in our society. With this in mind, Proviso West has put more emphasis on the skills being taught and the success of the students. The industrial Education Department offers students the chance to learn a trade and open up their future. Having fun while you work is always important. The P.W. program includes a variety of activities such as football, bas- ketball, tennis, soccer, swimming, volley- ball, and softball. These activities provide a fun way to exercise and get physically fit. After all, a sound body can only contribute to a sound mind.
